Pilote chevronn\u00e9 et figure embl\u00e9matique du Touareg Adventure Club, Manuel est pr\u00eat \u00e0 reprendre le guidon pour le FenekRally 2025, pr\u00e9vu du 15 au 23 novembre au Maroc. Avec plus de vingt ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience en rallye-raid et une vie pass\u00e9e entre dunes et roadbooks, ce Riojano de 60 ans, originaire de Calahorra, s\u2019appr\u00eate \u00e0 relever un nouveau d\u00e9fi dans le d\u00e9sert, avec son enthousiasme et sa d\u00e9termination habituels. Comment est n\u00e9e ta passion pour les moteurs?<\/strong> <em>\u00ab\u00a0Depuis l\u2019enfance. Je suis mont\u00e9 sur une moto pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 13 ans. C\u2019\u00e9tait une passion que j\u2019ai toujours eue en moi. J\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 par l\u2019enduro amateur, mais au d\u00e9but, j\u2019\u00e9tais loin d\u2019\u00eatre dou\u00e9: je passais plus de temps \u00e0 pousser la moto qu\u2019\u00e0 la piloter, pendant que les autres riaient. J\u2019en garde toutefois un souvenir pr\u00e9cieux. Lors d\u2019une course, un pilote exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 m\u2019appeler \u2018Murchiano\u2019, en r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux origines de mon p\u00e8re, natif de Murcie. Ce surnom est rest\u00e9 et est devenu \u2018Murchi\u2019. Je le porte encore aujourd\u2019hui avec beaucoup de fiert\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, raconte Manuel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Et sportivement, quel a \u00e9t\u00e9 le d\u00e9clic?<\/strong> <em>\u00ab\u00a0En 2002, j\u2019ai particip\u00e9 \u00e0 ma premi\u00e8re Baja Espa\u00f1a Arag\u00f3n avec un groupe d\u2019amis. Nous \u00e9tions 15, mais seulement deux ont franchi la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e. Ce moment a tout chang\u00e9: j\u2019ai arr\u00eat\u00e9 de fumer, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 m\u2019entra\u00eener s\u00e9rieusement, et je me suis inscrit \u00e0 un voyage au Maroc avec Jordi Arcarons. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que j\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert la navigation, le roadbook et la magie du d\u00e9sert. Depuis, le rallye fait partie int\u00e9grante de ma vie\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le palmar\u00e8s de <em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em>Murchi<em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em> compte des centaines de comp\u00e9titions nationales et internationales, parmi lesquelles trois Dakar, 23 \u00e9ditions de la Baja Espa\u00f1a Arag\u00f3n, le Merzouga Rally, le Rallye du Maroc, le Pharaons Rally, le Tunisia Rally, l\u2019Hellas Rally, et de nombreuses autres \u00e9preuves africaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>De pilote \u00e0 formateur: la naissance du Touareg Adventure Club<\/strong>. <em>\u00ab\u00a0En 2010, je me suis pos\u00e9 une question simple: pourquoi un amateur ne devrait-il pas avoir les m\u00eames chances qu\u2019un professionnel ? C\u2019est ainsi qu\u2019en 2011, est n\u00e9 le Touareg Adventure Club, un projet destin\u00e9 \u00e0 ceux qui r\u00eavent du rallye-raid mais ne savent pas par o\u00f9 commencer. Aujourd\u2019hui, nous comptons plus de 800 membres dans le monde, avec plus de 150 pilotes actifs dans nos activit\u00e9s. Nous offrons de la formation, de l\u2019assistance et du soutien en course. Si tu as un r\u00eave, on t\u2019aide \u00e0 le transformer en piste. Ou plut\u00f4t\u2026 en piste off-road!\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Parmi tant de comp\u00e9titions, pourquoi avoir choisi le FenekRally?<\/strong> <em>\u00ab\u00a0Ce rallye m\u2019intrigue depuis longtemps, depuis qu\u2019il se d\u00e9roulait en Tunisie. L\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, j\u2019avais pr\u00e9vu de participer, mais nous \u00e9tions engag\u00e9s avec l\u2019\u00e9quipe au Rallye du Maroc. Cette ann\u00e9e, nous y serons enfin. Ce rallye me pla\u00eet car il est bien \u00e9quilibr\u00e9: il est modeste en taille mais tr\u00e8s bien organis\u00e9, avec un grand souci de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, qui est une priorit\u00e9 pour nous. Nous avons analys\u00e9 tous les \u00e9v\u00e9nements pr\u00e9vus cet automne, et nous avons d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de miser sur ce rallye sign\u00e9 Lluis Rosa. Un pari, certes, mais nous sommes convaincus qu\u2019il sera gagnant\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Comment te pr\u00e9pares-tu pour la course?<\/strong> <em>\u00ab\u00a0Aucune pr\u00e9paration sp\u00e9ciale, pas \u00e0 mon \u00e2ge!<\/em> -sourit \u00ab\u00a0Murchi\u00a0\u00bb- <em>L\u2019objectif est de s\u2019amuser et de profiter au maximum des roadbooks pr\u00e9par\u00e9s par Lluis et son \u00e9quipe. Le Maroc est notre seconde maison: nous y venons depuis plus de 20 ans, et nous sommes connus un peu partout. C\u2019est aussi notre deuxi\u00e8me march\u00e9 sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux apr\u00e8s l\u2019Espagne. Pour le FenekRally, nous avons mis en place la formule Fly &amp; Ride: nous mettons \u00e0 disposition 15 KTM rally full-option, pr\u00eates \u00e0 rouler, pour les pilotes venant de loin. Des motos conformes aux r\u00e8glements FIM, avec tour de navigation, suspensions de qualit\u00e9 et roadbook digital.
