For the Spanish team, it’s now a staple event in the international offroad calendar
Once again this year, GPR Sport will be at the starting line of one of the most adventurous offroad events on the global motorsport scene: the FenekRally, scheduled in Morocco from November 15th to 23rd.

Founded in 2006 by driver Rubén Gracia, the Spanish team specializes in rally-raid and has successfully competed over the years in various motorsport arenas, ranging from tarmac and gravel rallies to cross-country events, hill climbs, ice racing and endurance championships.
“GPR Sport will once again take part in this year’s edition of the FenekRally, ready to give its all and put both vehicles and team preparation to the test in a demanding yet incredibly rewarding environment like Morocco -says Gonzalo Alonso, the team’s sporting director- So far, the participation of the crew made up of Raf Herman and Daniel Camara is confirmed. They already competed successfully in the 2024 edition, driving one of our well-proven GPR24 vehicles. We’re also awaiting to confirm the registration of a second crew, also set to race in a GPR24, which speaks to the strong confidence we have in this model’s performance on the toughest terrains.”
The 2025 rally will mark GPR Sport’s third consecutive participation in the event organized by Lluis Rosa and his team. “By now, it’s a fixed event in our sporting season. We made our debut in 2023, fielding three GPR22 vehicles with outstanding results: one of our cars took first place overall, thanks to the excellent performance of the crew Henri Van Steenbergen and Daniel Van Oijen -Gonzalocontinues– Last year, our commitment grew even further, with three next-generation GPR24s and one GPR22 competing. We tackled a varied and challenging route with determination and team spirit. We’re proud that our efforts were rewarded with strong results and high placements in nearly all stages.”
Why did you choose to return to the FenekRally multiple times?
“Each participation in this rally-raid means much more to us than just a race. It’s a vital testing ground for our prototypes, a chance to push our technical solutions to the limit, and, above all, an opportunity for growth in every aspect -explains the team- The rally takes place in a truly authentic and fascinating desert setting, where sand, rocks, dunes, and technical tracks come together in a complete and unpredictable challenge. The ‘daisy’ route format, with daily returns to base camp, makes logistics more manageable and accessible, allowing us to focus on the sporting and technical side of the competition. For all these reasons, FenekRally is ideal for training our drivers, experimenting, and preparing for even greater challenges such as the FIA Championship or other major African races.”
In Morocco, there will be 8 team members from GPR Sport (excluding drivers and co-drivers); as in previous editions, mechanical support will be provided by a MAN TGE 4×4 van — a true benchmark for mobile assistance — and a Mitsubishi Montero.
“We truly appreciate the impeccable organization of the FenekRally, the variety and complexity of the routes, and the authenticity of the African off-road spirit, which makes this event one of a kind” concludes Gonzalo Alonso enthusiastically.
